Term Limits on Board
Before this year, the Children’s Aid Society had no specified term limits for board members. The charity is 150 years old, and often found members staying on for 15 or more years, some up to over 34 years. Term limits have now been imposed by the IRS. This was disheartening for some, as long term board members were found to be extremely knowledgeable about the organization.
