Serves as a focal point for emergency response coordination of OASH programs during a declared local, State or national emergency.

Works with the human service providers at the State, local, Tribal and agency level to determine response capability; when they might need to call on Federal support;
and, how they would integrate Federal assets into their incident management systems.

Provides technical guidance in the preparation for deployment of staff to support the emergency response and disaster recovery efforts.

Coordinates deployment of OASH staff and teams throughout various jurisdictions and otherwise assists in support of emergency/disaster response and recovery efforts.

Assists in the development of comprehensive and integrated preparedness and response plans.,qualifications:Minimum Qualification Requirement:

Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that includes providing emergency, volunteer, and programmatic management advice and support on disaster preparedness and response programs; coordinating responses among regional, federal and international agencies addressing emergency response and public health issues; and assisting with developing and raising community awareness on local public health, preparedness and volunteerism issues.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
