This role is the key executive responsible for certain clinical and support services across the MBO as well as site-specific support and ancillary services at St. Vincent Infirmary. The incumbent works collaboratively with executives and managers as needed to achieve CHI St. Vincent objectives. In addition, the incumbent assists the Leadership Team in areas of planning, implementing and strategies for the clinical, ancillary, and support services in the delivery of such services on a site and market-wide basis.
The incumbent has contact with community groups, third party payers, agencies, vendors, other health care organizations, regulatory agencies, and other interested parties. A key role of this position is to build strong relationships with key shared services partners, strategic partners, physicians and co-workers to achieve the expectations and key objectives identified by the market.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1) Assures appropriate level of understanding, awareness and compliance with all applicable TJC, federal, state and agency laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards.
2) Develops and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans and goals.
3) Works collaboratively to develop plans, goals, and implementation strategies in support of CHI St. Vincent’s Mission, Vision, Values and business objectives.
4) Develops, coordinates, and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies across CHI St. Vincent.
5) Maintains a system of management reporting that provides the market with timely and relevant information on all aspects of assigned responsibility.
6) Responsible for assuring appropriate management practices, maintenance of appropriate staffing levels competency assessment, staff orientation, ongoing education and development in all areas of responsibility.
7) Develops, monitors and responds to a full range of financial, service and quality indicators in all assigned areas of responsibility.
8) Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.
9) Demonstrates work practices consistent with CHI St. Vincent and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.
10) Works with support services as Risk Management and Quality to develop systems and quality improvement programs to develop and maintain a culture of accountability, patient safety and quality.
11) Supports research and assures evidence based practice in the delivery of services in assigned areas of responsibility.
12) Promotes CHI St. Vincent through active membership in community and professional organizations.
13) Represents areas of responsibility on committees across the market and CHI as requested.
14) Develops, coordinates, and manages operating systems and operational standardization, service standards, approaches, policies across CHI St. Vincent.
15) Develops, coordinates, and manages relationships with affiliated organizations that may seek ancillary and support services through CHI St. Vincent and its partners.

M.H.A., M.B.A., or M.S. in healthcare administration, business administration, public health administration or a related field is required.
A minimum of 7 years experience as an Executive in a healthcare system is required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
