nnu003cstrongu003eJob Descriptionu003c/strongu003enu003cp style=text- [ Link Removed ] \u003eUnder the oversight of the Director, Behavioral Health Services, leads the day-to-day operation of The Hope Center’s Day Services programs: Rehabilitation Day for behavioral health (mental health and SUD) and Supported Employment services.   Is responsible for the development of curriculum for integrated mental health and substance use day program services, managing the schedules for multiple concurrent groups, and ensures Medicaid eligibility and authorizations for all participants, manages the day to day operations for all day services. The Rehab Day Manager assists with assessments and clinical services for all Hope Center clients and consumers.  Principal function is to provide structured clinical program activities or interventions that will assist consumers and clients develop skills and foster social role integration through a range of social, psycho-educational, behavioral, and cognitive behavioral health interventions. u003c/pu003ennu003cstrongu003eJob Requirementsu003c/strongu003enu003cp style=text- [ Link Removed ] \u003eu003cstrongu003eu003cuu003eREQUIREMENTSu003c/uu003e:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003e u003cpu003eRequired to be a Qualified Practitioner of Day Services: a Psychiatrist; Psychologist; LICSW; APRN; RN; LPC; LISW; or Addiction counselor in the District of Columbia.  Additionally, successful candidates must have at least three years experience working with adults with serious mental illness and/or a substance use disorder providing cognitive-behavioral interventions, diagnostic, psychiatric, counseling/psychotherapy or rehabilitation services AND two years experience providing supervision.  Experience working in a community based and multi-cultural setting with consumers and knowledge of public mental health services is preferred. u003c/pu003e u003cpu003eMost importantly, the successful candidate must be able to develop effective working relationships with the consumer/client population, be self-motivated and able to motivate others, be able to relate to individuals making significant life decisions, possess strong organizational skills, and have strong oral and written communication skills. The individual must also be computer proficient and able to make decisions and manage a team independently. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess effective time management skills in order to consistently meet the productivity goals set forth for this position.  u003c/pu003e u003cpu003eSuccessful candidates must maintain current certification in CPR and First Aid once hired.  Employment is contingent on receipt of clearance that the candidate is free of tuberculosis in a communicable form and Hepatitis B, receipt of an acceptable criminal background check, and receipt of a negative drug test.u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eu003cstrongu003eu003cuu003ePRINCIPAL ACTIVITIESu003c/uu003eu003c/strongu003eu003cstrongu003e:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003e u003culu003eu003cliu003eWith the guidance from the Director, Behavioral  Health Services, develops the Rehabilitation/Day Services and supported employment services that are founded on the principles of consumer/client choice, Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the active involvement of each participant in their behavioral health recovery; that will facilitate the development of a participants independent living and social skills, including the ability to make decisions regarding self care, management of illness, life, work, and community participation; and that will promote the use of resources to integrate the participant into the community. u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eStructures Rehabilitation/Day/Supported Employment Services including, but not limited to: education on self-management symptoms, mediations and side effects, the identification of rehabilitation preferences, the setting of rehabilitation goals, and skills teaching and development, achieving and maintaining employment.u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eConducts intake assessments and Diagnostic Assessments. u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eEnsures that each consumer’s Plan of Care includes needs and progress toward achievement of Rehabilitation/Day/Supported Employment Services Treatment Goals.  u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eEnsures that each Plan of Care is reviewed and updated in accordance with the DBH requirement.u003c/liu003e u003cliu003ePlans and conducts structured activities focusing on the participants strengths and Plan of Care goals across his/her life domains with the persons participation.u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eAssists the participant in developing behavioral health relapse prevention strategies and plans. u003c/liu003e u003cliu003eEvaluates the effectiveness and progress of the activities and interventions and consumer satisfaction.
