JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves as a public health advisor by providing consultative serives to state, local, Federal and international organizations on public health programs.
DUTIES:
As a Public Health Advisor (Direct Hire) you will:
Plan, develop, and implement public health programs with local, state, Federal and/or international governments and organizations. Develop public health messages with subject matter experts and develop products for communicating public health information. Independently or in collaboration with others, prepare reports and other substantive program documents on research findings. Review congressional and legislative actions and assess impact on public health program activities. Analyze existing or proposed health related matters and identify needs for improvements. Perform other duties as assigned. ]
REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications for GS-11:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience assisting with providing technical advice and assistance in the implementation and evaluation of state, local or Federal public health programs. OR Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR Have a combination of experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. Minimum Qualifications for GS-12: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience in planning, developing and implementing state, local or Federal public health programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. .
