Stand Together seeks an experienced and creative Events Manager to drive the development of high-end, fundraising events from conception through execution. Our partner network is made up of more than 700 of the leading business and philanthropic leaders in the nation. We take their time seriously so our events team focuses on developing engaging events that allow us to expand Stand Together's vision and priority initiatives while bringing forward the relevant impact our teams have acomplished through innovative experiences and engagements.
Working closely with the broader Development & Partnerships team, you'll be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on the event brief objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will help us effectively amplify our brand, enhance partner relations, and support our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate our vision, priority objectives, and impact.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a track record of demonstrating exceptional organizational abilities, advanced interpersonal skills, a master at multi-tasking, and excellent time-management.
Your Responsibilities Include
Build event strategies for defined customer segments, test a variety of models (regional, partner-driven, issue-specific, etc.), and then scale successful models, working in close collaboration with members of the partnership and events teams
Manage the production and execution of events, including managing venue searches; budgeting; defining and driving timelines and holding teammates accountable to them; collaborating with internal customers; food and beverage selection; negotiating, coordinating, and working with outside vendors; and measuring the impact of an event towards achieving its desired objectives
Initiate and cultivate strong relationships with members of Stand Together's development team and external vendors, including the ability to manage internal and external team members contributing to the success of events
Develop an understanding of industry best practices and execute strategies to improve our events continuously
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
4 years' experience in a professional environment
Direct experience in planning and executing both small and large-scale events and conferences
Ability to coordinate simultaneous projects and have excellent communication with stakeholders in each project
Strong customer focus and desire to collaborate with other designers and internal stakeholders
Excellent organizational and communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to quickly adapt to change
Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and a high sense of urgency
Highly organized and with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines
