Duties
Summary
This position is that of Supervisory Administrative Officer, Extramural Administrative Management Branch (EAMB), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK). The incumbent of this position serves as a senior advisor to the Executive Officer in all matters relating to the administrative management and operations of the Extramural programs.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with senior NIDDK officials on a wide range of management issues and problems that affect the Institute.
Responsible for supervising, planning, directing, and overseeing the work of an administrative team.
Advises the Director, Deputy Director, Executive, Officer, and other key officials on administrative policies and practices.
Manages the Institute Research Management and Support (RMS) budget.
Serves as the NIH Project Officer on a NIH-wide logistical support contract, providing guidance and advice to staff in other ICs.
Serves as Property Management Representative for NIDDK extramural management activities within the Institute.
Develops policies on administrative management and prepares and issues procedures and guidelines for implementation.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for the Administrative Officer GS-0341-14 position:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing leadership, guidance and advice to staff on matters related to a variety of administrative management functions such as: human resources, budget, procurement, space management, and contracting; analyzing program priorities and recommending changes to management; interpreting and disseminating administrative policy and procedure changes to program leadership and administrative staff; serving as a financial advisor in the formulation of a program's budget; resolving administrative management issues presented by program leadership; and identifying issues and recommending solutions to support the goals and mission of an organization.
