JOB SUMMARY:
The position serves as a key member of the organization responsible for providing executive-level management, programmatic, and operational leadership and guidance for the Center.
DUTIES:
As an Public Health Advisor you will:
Serve as a nationally and internationally recognized authority, advisor, and administrator for public health programs. Serve as senior public health advisor and management coordinator of national and international public health program activities. Consult on, monitors, and measures the outcome of these programs through studies which evaluate the effectiveness of project activities in meeting the needs of program participants. Lead the design, implementation, and analysis of significant collaborative studies with national or international policy or program implications. Serve as a special projects officer and conducts comprehensive research, review and analyses on a wide variety of public health-related management programs to provide a wide variety of complex staff papers that address complex multi-functional issues. Review and assess the effectiveness of current public health policies and determines where new or changed policies are required to effectively execute public health programs, missions, and functions. ]
REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level of in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include advising, directing and oversees multi-functional program activities involving public health programs that are operated domestically or abroad. Documenting experience: In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
