The Outreach Specialist
will be responsible for serving as a main point of contact between the Company
and current members in a call center environment. Primary duties may include,
but are not limited to:
Research and telephonicoutreach to initiate activities that promote member access to care throughcommunity resources, services and programs
Provides timely and accurateresolution of inquiries and issues
Supports member access to carethrough research, identification and outreach related to home visits,processing of reports, and access to community services
Provides superior qualityoutcomes by taking ownership of issues to ensure timely resolution orfollow-up
Provides superior,professional, and courteous service to customers
Requires HS Diploma;
1 year of customer serviceexperience, understanding of the basic principles of managed care
1 year of understanding theconcepts of publicly financed health insurance such as Medicare andMedicaid programs;
1 years of call centerexperience
Or any combination of educationand experience that would provide an equivalent background
Comprehension of the variouscultural and linguistic needs of the Medicare and Medicaid population
Knowledge of the various healthand social services available in the assigned region with a specialemphasis on services offered by community based organizations
Ability to work professionallywith the company's associates, community-based organizations, providersand plan members.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
