We participate in many donor-focused fundraising activities including identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding of top corporate and foundation partners, as well as with individual donors across the country. The funds we receive provide unrestricted support to our Chapters, helping us fulfill our mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies in our communities.The American Red Cross Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region is seeking a Strategic Accounts Relationship Specialist. The selected hire will be based in our Cincinnati, Ohio Chapter.Candidates with at least 2 years' experience in Fundraising, Sales and Public Relations, highly desired. Preferred skills: Strong communication and excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills required.Job Summary: Plans, schedules, directs, and implements service or program overall goals and objectives. Provides services to a small or specific population of clients or users where program impacts localized functions.Oversees the work assignment and performance of staff and volunteers. Develops and manages service or program budget. Represents the Red Cross and promotes services and programs to the communities within the Chapter's jurisdiction.---------------Responsibilities:1.Establishes and implements program/service goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Implements and coordinates the day-to-day functions that support the assigned program or service. Furnishes services, often on a case basis, to a small population of clients.2.Contributes data and coordinates financial and budget activities to fund operations and maximize efficiency.3.Allocates and directs resources, including assigning work, to deliver program or service effectively and efficiently. Sets and adjusts short-term priorities.4.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports and volunteers.5.Evaluates and reports effectiveness of program or service and prepares recommendations for continuous improvement.6.Monitors program outcomes and results to reinforce organizational accountability.7.Identifies possible funding sources for program or service through grant application to government agencies and philanthropic foundations/organizations.8.Develops and conducts trainings/presentations to promote Red Cross services and programs to community.9.Develops and cultivates professional relationships with key internal .and.amp; external partners/organizations.10.May provide analysis, advice and consultation on Chapter program or service.11.May perform directly-related operational tasks or service/program delivery as an individual contributor, typically not exceeding 40% of time.12.It is the responsibility of all Red Cross Staff members to recruit, train and work with volunteers and to treat all clients, volunteers, guests, and other employees in a courteous and respectful manner at all times while maintaining a cooperative atmosphere for everyone.
